Chalk it up to Covid
Downtown benefits when in-person competition is derailed by pandemic
FOR ONCE, no one cared when yet another student competition switched from in-person to virtual because of pandemic protocols. At least, no one in Kingfisher minded when these dazzling chalk drawings popped up downtown, courtesy Summer Scott’s Art II and III students, who were competing virtually in the Chickasha chalk art competition. Artists in the top photo are Yamile Saucedo, Aline Jordan and Jodie Hill. In the bottom photo are Alma Soto, Ben Erwin, Matt Stone and Maricza Lopez. [TIMES-FREE PRESS Staff Photos]
