CHRISTMAS CARD WORTHY
CHRISTMAS CARD WORTHY is the best description of the 6.5 inches of snow that fell in Kingfisher County all day Sunday, including these scenes captured east of Kingfisher. Local Weather Observer Steve Loftis measured 3.5 inches at 7 a.m. Sunday morning and another three inches at 7 a.m. Monday. The snow limited church attendance but mostly melted on roadways during the day and sanding crews kept ahead of it on state highways. Additional snow started falling Tuesday and was still coming down at press time. Mesonet precipitation reports included the following: Kingfisher .12, Guthrie .16, El Reno .2, Marshall .12, Breckenridge .08, Lahoma .05, Minco .28, Idabel 1.08, Valliant 1.13, and Boise City .05.
