CHS provides safety training throughout area

By

CHS Okarche employees spent multiple days from April 25 through May 1 providing safety training in various communities. Two employees were in Watonga April 25 teaching grain safety at the Progressive Ag Safety Day. An estimated 170 fourth graders from the area attended the event. CHS then hosted a class entitled “Confined Space Non-Entry Rescue and Rope Fundamentals” for employees and members of the local communities on April 27, April 29 and April 30.

The training was offered at no cost for those who attended. Members of the Loyal, Kingfisher and Okarche fire departments attended the training, as well as two employees from Nortek (Temtrol), two individuals from the community and CHS employees. Two CHS employees then traveled to Binger May 1 and presented a grain awareness and safety class to approximately 150 fourth graders from the area at the Outdoor Classroom. “CHS is committed to the safety of its employees and the communities and proud to attend and host safety training events,” said Jim Peters, safety specialist and manager of the CHS County Line location.
