To encourage local residents to follow the CDC’s recent updated guidelines to wear masks while out in public, the city of Kingfisher has purchased 2,000 masks for local distribution.

Manufactured in Oklahoma by NeoInsulation of Kingfisher, the cotton masks are expected to arrive in staggered shipments, with the first available for distributions this Wednesday and Friday.

City Manager Dave Slezickey asks that residents be courteous of others and not take a mask if they already have one or more through another source.

Masks will be distributed at selected locations on Wednesday, April 8, and Friday, April 10.
