CITY RETIREE Shawn Barrett, second from left with grandson Clay Barrett, was recognized at Monday night’s city commission meeting for more than 30 years of service. Barrett started working for the city in February 1989 and became park superintendent in 1995. Since then, his responsibilities have expanded to also include the cemetery.
