Scholarships were awarded to four Kingfisher High School seniors during the annual Kingfisher Lions Club’s Junior Lions banquet held May 17.

Those receiving $500 scholarships were Joseline Rivera, Prairie Kaya, Maverick Ridenour and Kase Simon.

Mike Sanders, former state representative from Kingfisher, served as the event’s guest speaker at the First Christian Church.

Other Junior Lions for the 2020-21 school year who were also recognized were Caleb Dick, Maggie McCully, Cora Taylor, Ian Daugherty, Olivia Wilcox, Jarret Birdwell, Maddi Kamas, Nathan Smalley, Karli Karrenbrock, Zoey Evans, Braden Burns, Mia Farrell, Cayman Matson and Tyler Roman.
