Kingfisher Board of Education last week approved to enter a contract with the Oklahoma Department of Human Services to provide a school-based specialist at the district.
Jennifer Marler was hired to fill the role.
The school district and DHS will split the costs for the services provided by Marler.
The estimated annual terms of the contract are $73,931. On top of salary, the contract allows for insurance, retirement and other benefits as well as administrative costs that amount to more than $34,000 of that total amount.
The total cost to the school district was estimated to be $36,966.
