Hennessey Child Study Club member Charlene Choate introduced guest speaker Stacy Cline at the group’s Thursday, Nov. 21, meeting.

Cline talked about her hemp farming family business.

The club met at the First Christian Church and was opened by President Rhonda Peach, who led members in the Lord’s Prayer.

Wanda Choate read the minutes from the previous meeting and called roll with 14 members present.

Patsy Jackson gave the devotional, “Speak Up Already.”

Members voted to make a donation to the Hennessey Public Schools’ Food Bank. They also decided to move their regular meeting time to 6:30 p.m. due to the time change.

Plans for the club’s Christmas party were made with the party scheduled Tuesday, Dec. 10, at the home of Carol Peach. Each member is to bring a snack item and a gift for their secret pal.

After the meeting members were served a Mexican buffet by Wanda Choate and Marissa Choate.
