Commissioners give approval to agreement between sheriff, schools

Kingfisher County commissioners Monday approved agreements between the sheriff’s office and three county schools – Lomega, Dover and Chisholm Trail Technology Center.

The agreements will provide a deputy sheriff in each school during the school year – Aug. 1 to May 31, Sheriff Aaron Pitts said.

A $6,576 change order to the District 1 shop addition project to meet state fire marshal requirements received approval.

County Engineer Nik Smith said one inspection has been completed with complete approval.

Two county road permits for pipeline and drive access projects were approved as follow:

• Kingfisher Rural Water District No. 3 – sixinch PVC pipe located three miles north and four miles west of Kingfisher in District 1.

• Ethan Wichert for public access drive located seven miles east and 1.75 miles north of Hennessey (SW NW Sec. 1918 -6), including 18-inch by 90-foot corrugated pipe, District 2.

All commissioners were present – Anthony Schwarz, District 1, chairman; Mike Sparks, District 2, and Jeff Moss, District 1, vice-chairman – Engineer Smith, County Clerk Emily Lee, official minute clerk, County Emergency Manager Ryan Deatherage, Sheriff Aaron Pitts, Undersheriff Ed Cangiano and citizen visitor Kelly Buck.
