Commissioners work quickly through brief Tuesday agenda

By

Kingfisher County commissioners indicated they would attempt to attend a legislative meeting of the Association of County Commissioners of Oklahoma (ACCO) Wednesday to review proposed legislation regarding counties at this year’s legislative session.

District 3 Commissioner Anthony Schwarz said he would attend if there were no pressing problems in the district.

Tuesday’s commission weekly meeting was held a day late due to the courthouse being closed on Monday due to the weekend snow storm.

The only items on the agenda were final approval of a resolution for the Dover Fire Department to dispose of items no longer needed and approval of the minutes and other routine matters from the preceding week’s meeting.

Commissioners Anthony Schwarz, District 3, and Chairman Michael Sparks attended the meeting along with County Clerk Emily Lee as minute clerk, County Engineer Nik Smith, Sheriff Aaron Pitts and County Emergency Manager Randy Poindexter.
