Copeland runs for school post
[Ed. Note: Susannah Copeland of Kingfisher has authorized the Times & Free Press to publish the following announcement of her candidacy for Kingfisher Board of Education, Office No. 5, subject to the Feb. 11 primary election.]
Susannah Copeland, U.S. Army veteran, Sunday school teacher and regular church volunteer, dependence and addiction sponsor and co-counselor, has announced her candidacy for Kingfisher Board of Education, Office No. 5.
“I’ve humbly decided to run so that I can bring those same protections, services and leadership to the Kingfi sher School District,” Copeland said.
“It’s not enough to just vote as a board member in a reactionary fashion to the changing winds but to help manage our schools for the long term.”
Copeland said she seeks to “be proactive in the protection of values that we in Kingfi sher hold dear.
“Values that bind education to family and neighbor for one central purpose – the future of community through those we educate.”
