Costa is new FSA county director
Trista Costa has begun duties as new executive director of the Kingfi sher County Farm Service Agency.
She succeeds Randall Newton who retired at the end of November after 32 years as county executive director.
Although she offi cially began her new responsibilities here on Dec. 1, Costa has been in the Kingfisher County office since Aug. 5 transitioning to the new duties.
She served as Blaine County FSA CED eight years before accepting the Kingfi sher County position.
A native of Hollister, Calif., where she grew up on a 15,000-acre cow-calf operation, she graduated from Oklahoma State University in Stillwater with a bachelor’s degree in animal science.
After college, she participated in an FSA training program before starting the job in Blaine County.
Costa lives in Kingfi sher with her two Australian Shepherds.
She says she enjoyed working in Blaine County but didn’t enjoy the daily drive.
Her hobbies include baking and cooking and fi shing and hunting.
She enjoys baking things for others and comments she’d fish every day if she could.
