Kingfisher County 4-H members in seventh grade and older attended the West District Action Conference held Oct. 16-18 in Del City. Kingfisher County had six youth in attendance, including Elizabeth Perdue, who served as the West District 4-H vice president over the past year. Youth who attended the conference went through workshops teaching them about leadership, teamwork and the importance of helping others. There were 200 youth from 30 counties that make up the West District. Kingfisher County youth were given the service project of helping Citizens Caring for Children, an organization that helps foster children obtain clothing items to make life more normal and provide them with items that can be their own.
