County approves pipeline permits

By

A dozen pipeline road crossing permits, all in District 3, received unanimous approval at Monday’s meeting of Kingfisher County commissioners.

The “clean sweep” by District 3 prompted a comment from District 2 Commissioner and chairman Ray Alan Shimanek to District 3 Commissioner Heath Dobrovolny, District 3 commissioner:

“I want to thank you for District 2’s share of the fees.”

District 1 Commissioner Jeff Moss concurred.

Road crossing permit fees are split between the three commissioner districts’ highway accounts wherever they occur.

The following companies received permits:

• Markwest Energy - permits for 12-inch and four-inch gas lines in the same vicinity seven miles west and one mile south of Kingfisher.

• McDonald Land Services - 16-inch and 12-inch water lines located eight miles west and one mile south of Kingfisher.

• Recoil Oilfield Services - three-inch water line two miles west and three miles south of Kingfisher.

• Devon Energy Production - 12-inch water line three miles east and six miles south of Omega.

• Petro Land Services -six-inch water line six miles north of Omega.

• Markwest Energy -Six oil and gas lines all located in the vicinity of eight miles west and one mile south of Kingfisher.

In other action, Commissioners approved a resolution to dispose of a 2017 and a 2018 four-cylinder diesel John Deere tractors, which are being traded in on six cylinder John Deere tractors for District 3, and approved a notice to bid for a 2014 or newer Semi truck with 525 minimum horsepower and 280,000 miles or less for District 1.

Dobrovolny announced he had a meeting scheduled at 10 a.m. Friday with the contractor for the Main Street project in Okarche.

The CIRB (County Improvement for Roads and Bridges) project was originally scheduled to start in January, Dobrovolny said.

Schiralli Construction Corp. of Wilson, which is scheduled to start a project at the intersection of S.H. 33 and U.S. 81 in Mid-March also has the contract for the Okarche project
