County considers nutrition board director
Kingfisher County commissioners took under advisement Monday a letter from Wheatheart Nutrition Project Director Kathleen M. Willis asking them to appoint a new director from Kingfisher County.
District 2 Commissioner Ray Alan Shimanek of Hennessey said he had resigned from the Wheat-heart board over disagreements with decisions made by the organization, particularly providing funding for a western Oklahoma County which had come into the district financially strapped after he joined the board.
The letter requesting a replacement for Shimanek on the board also requested an appointment to the board by Kay County commissioners.
