County extension workshop focusing on healthy baking is slated this week
Kingfisher County Extension is hosting a workshop on healthy baking this week.
The workshop is 5:30-7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 8, at the Extension Office.
“The need for using gluten free flour, sugar alternatives, and lactose free milk is becoming a common occurrence,” said Lindy Hoel, Extension educator who will be presenting the workshop.
She’ll teach participants how to modify a recipe, recipes for healthier baked goods and how to make a take-home baked good.
This workshop has a $5 fee per person, which is due the day of the event.
