County meeting brief
Kingfisher County commissioners handled their weekly meeting agenda Tuesday in only 17 minutes before returning to the job of resuming repairs on flood-stricken county roads.
District 3 Commissioner Heath Dobrovolny was unable to attend due to work constraints leaving District 1 Commissioner Jeff Moss and District 2 Commissioner Ray Alan Shimanek to comprise the required quorum.
Commissioners approved contracts to provide asphalt overlay in Districts 1 and 3 on the low bids submitted at an earlier meeting, payment of the annual ACCO self-insurance workers’ compensation coverage in one payment of $212,478 – a savings of more than $3,000 over the cost of $215,665 if the premium were paid in two payments, a resolution for disposing of two two-way radios for District 1 and pipeline road crossing permits for the following:
• S&S Star Operating – two eight-inch permanent water lines at the same location 13 miles west and one mile south of Kingfisher, District 3.
• Great Salt Plains Midstream – four-inch and 10-inch permanent oil and gas lines in District 2 nine miles west of Hennessey.
• Complete Energy Services – three-inch poly line four miles north of Loyal, District 3.
• McDonald Land Services – 12-inch flat line beginning in District 1 four miles north of Kingfisher and ending in District 3 five miles west and one mile north of Kingfisher.
Kingfisher County OSU Extension Agricultural Agent Bryan Kennedy attended the meeting as a guest.
