County meeting canceled
Because two of the three county commissioners are in COVID-19 quarantine, Monday’s weekly county meeting has been canceled, County Clerk Jeannie Boevers said.
The two commissioners were not identified, but neither actually has the virus but are quarantined due to possible exposure, Boevers said.
At least two commissioners must be present at a meeting to establish the necessary quorum to conduct official business, Boevers said.
County commissioners are only required to meet once a month by state law, but Kingfisher and other counties choose to meet weekly to more efficiently handle county business, she said.
