County OKs annex re-flooring start
Kingfisher County commissioners gave the go-ahead to begin work replacing the flooring on the first floor at the courthouse annex building at their weekly meeting Monday.
The contract, which was approved at an earlier meeting, was awarded on a low bid of $20,889.80 to Miller Flooring of Oklahoma City.
Partial project reimbursement requests for all three districts from the Oklahoma Department of Transportation through Circuit Engineering District 8 received approval as follow:
District 1 – $20,000 reimbursement for 1.5 inch limestone on NS 2845 Road between EW 870 and EW 860 Roads.
District 2 – $20,000 reimbursement for limestone rock from the intersection of NS 2850 Road and EW 715 Road south to EW 720 Road.
District 3 – $20,000 for gyp rock applied NS 2700 Roads.
Commissioners accepted the sole bid of $31,000 from Cummins Equipment for a water-fillable pull-type roll drum for District 3 on motion of District 3 Commissioner Heath Dobrovolny and second by District 1 Commissioner Jeff Moss with District 2 Commissioner Ray Alan Shimanek, chairman, joining them in making the action unanimous.
Shimanek read a report from City-County Emergency Management Director Steve Loftis, showing a drop in COVID-19 cases compared to last week.
Commissioners approved monthly reports from the offices of sheriff, county clerk, health department, treasurer, assessor, court clerk and election board and an amended court clerk records management and preservation report for March 2020.
Turn Key Health Clinic of Oklahoma City received approval for medical staffing and administration for the Kingfisher County Jail for the current fiscal year.
A resolution authorizing the county treasurer to credit the county treasurer’s office directly for funds received from other entities for services performed by court clerk personnel received unanimous approval.
Approval was given for a public service access drive for Casey Dunagan west of Cashion on East 840 Road west of N 2960 Road.
Pipeline road crossing permits receiving approval included:
• Ovintiv – five 90-day 12-inch water lines in District 3 located as follow: one mile north and five miles east of Omega, two miles east and two miles south of Loyal, three miles south of Loyal, one mile east and one mile south of Loyal and four miles west and three miles south of Kingfisher, and two threeinch poly lines in District 1, one located three miles north and three miles east of Okarche and a second located four miles north and two miles east of Okarche.
• McDonald Land Services – two 12-inch water lines located four miles west and three miles north of Omega. District 3.
• Lagoon Water Logistics – two 10-inch lines in District 3, both located two miles west and two miles north of Okarche.
Routine appropriations and transfers for August received approval.
Clayton Hill of the Cashion Fire Department attended the meeting, bringing a department fire truck for commissioners to see.
Also present were County Clerk Jeannie Boevers as minute clerk and County Engineer Nik Smith.
