County OKS CIRB pact for Turkey Creek bridge
Kingfisher County commissioners approved a CIRB agreement for a bridge over Turkey Creek in District 2 at their weekly meeting Tuesday.
The agreement will provide use of state-collected funds in the County Improvement of Roads and Bridges (CIRB) account managed by the Oklahoma Department of Transportation on the bridge located 1.5 miles south and .8 mile west of Hennessey.
Commissioners authorized solicitation of bids for dump trucks for Districts 3 and 1. District 3 is seeking bids for a 2012 or newer truck with 220 minimum horsepower and 135,000 miles or less.
District 1 is seeking bids on a 2012 or newer truck with 240 minimum horsepower and 350,000 miles or less.
Commissioners also approved the monthly preservation fund for the office of Court Clerk Lisa Markus, the purchase of furniture for the office of Kingfisher City-County Emergency Management Director Steve Loftis totaling $6,669, road crossing permit for McDonald Land Services for a threeinch water line two miles south and10 miles west of Kingfisher (District 3), contract continuations for county health department service providers Jan Pro, RK Black, Pitney Bowes, Language Line, Standley Systems, Anahi Lopez Valle and Trail Creek Wellness Center, removing Ruth Ann Replogle as requesting officer for the Hennessey Library and adding Town Clerk Tiffany Tillman in that position, and opening six-month bids for county road materials and services.
The six-month bids were tabled to allow study by staff.
District 3 Commissioner Heath Dobrovolny presided at the meeting in the absence of District 2 Commissioner Ray Alan Shimanek, chairman, who had other obligations and could not attend.
Also present for the meeting were District 1 Commissioner Jeff Moss, providing a quorum, County Clerk Jeannie Boevers, minute clerk, Loftis who discussed the possibility of the county registering for reimbursement of COVID-19 shutdown mitigation costs, County Engineer Nik Smith and County Pipeline Inspector Cody Murray.
