County OKs road crossing permit, hears COVID-19 report at Monday meeting

Kingfisher County commissioners approved a road crossing permit for Lagoon Water Logistics LLC and heard a report on the coronavirus virus numbers in the county at a brief meeting Monday.

The road crossing permit allows a pipeline starting in the Southwest Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of Section 26-T15N-R 9 West and ends in the Northwest Quarter of the Northeast Quarter of Section 35-T15-R 9W.

County Emergency Management Director Steve Loftis reported an increase in the number of coronavirus cases in the county with the following numbers by town: Cashion 5, Dover 6, Hennessey 13, Kingfisher 44 and Okarche 15.

Present for the meeting besides Commissioner Jeff Moss, District 1; Ray Alan Shimanek, District 2, and Heath Dobrovolny, District 3, were County Engineer Nik Smith, Sheriff Dennis Banther and County Clerk Jeannie Boevers as minute clerk.
