County opens bids for District 1 loader

Three bids were opened on a 2015 or newer rubber wheel loader for District 1 and then tabled for further study at Monday’s Kingfisher County Commission meeting.

Bids included: Cummins Equipment Co., $168,500; O.C.T. Equipment, $185,000, and Yellowhouse Equipment, $163,489.

District 1 Commissioner Jeff Moss asked for the motion to table action to allow additional study of the items offered for sale, including such features as hours of usage, maintenance records and warranties.

The motion was approved unanimously with District 2 Commissioner Ray Alan Shimanek, and District 3 Commissioner Heath Dobrovolny joining Moss in voting yes.

Commissioners also approved monthly reports for June of the offices of sheriff, treasurer, county clerk, court clerk, assessor, health department and election board, the county resale property fund financial statement with total reserves of $171,715.03, state reimbursement claim fund forms for the election board and district attorney’s office for June, and an outside legal services agreement with Andrew E. Karim of Harrison and Mecklenburg pertaining to temporary pipelines on county roadways and easements.

The agreement authorizes fees of $295 per hour for the lead attorney, $200 to attorneys and $75 per hour for paralegals and legal assistants.

Membership dues of $894 to the state County Officers and Deputies Association and $3,500 annual membership dues to the Northern Oklahoma Development Authority received approval as did a public service drive installation for Dustin Brodrick .33 mile west of the EW Road 810 and NS Road 2860 Intersection in District 1.

Commissioners approved the following pipeline permits:

• Devon Energy Production Co. – Three-inch water line seven miles south and 3.5 miles east of Omega and 12-inch water line seven miles south and one mile east of Omega, District 3.

• Chisholm Operating – 12-inch water line six miles north of Loyal, District 3.

• Howard Drilling Enterprises – 12-inch water line in District 2 four miles south and eight miles west of Hennessey.

• Recoil Oilfield Services – 12-inch water line located two miles north of Okarche, District 1.

• Mustang Gas Products – six-inch poly line six miles south and six miles west of Hennessey, District 2.

• Complete Energy Services – three-inch poly line four miles west and two miles north of Cashion, District 1.
