County opens courthouse camera bids
Kingfisher County commissioners opened bids Monday on providing security cameras for the courthouse.
They tabled them for action next week in order to study them to determine that specifications were met.
Two of the bidders submitted two bids each.
Bidders and their bids included: Glen’s Electric of Kingfisher, $24,850; Tricores of Oklahoma City, $20,728.29; Endex of Oklahoma City, $39,000; Noble Systems of Oklahoma City, $19,285.21(with an alternate bid of $56,076.16); Entech of Oklahoma City, $38,028, with an alternate bid of $33,961.
Commissioners approved a resolution reducing the speed limit from 45 miles per hour to 25 miles per hour on a half-mile section of EW 830 from NS 2985 to S.H 74F because of substantial residential growth and school bus routes near Cashion.
A number of rights-of-way easements were approved including the following:
• Jason Henderson – four-inch permanent line two miles south and one-half mile east of Loyal, District 3.
• OG&E – electric service located 13 miles west and one mile north of Hennessey, District 2.
• Ovintiv – three-inch poly line situated four miles west and three miles north of Kingfisher, District 1.
• Markwest Energy – six 12- inch permanent gas lines in District 1, three located in the vicinity of four miles east and four miles south of Kingfisher, and three located five, six and seven miles east of Okarche.

Other activities scheduled for commissioners this week include a Circuit Engineering District #8 meeting Wednesday at Alva for District 2 Commissioner Ray Alan Shimanek.
Commission Chairman Heath Dobrovolny will represent the county Thursday at an ACCO health insurance board meeting in Oklahoma City.
Dobrovolny and District 1 Commissioner Jeff Moss were present for the weekly meeting. Shimanek was absent in order to attend a funeral.
