County opens paving bids
Kingfisher County commissioners opened bids on paving work in all three districts and tabled them Monday at their weekly meeting.
Tabling allows County Engineer Nik Smith the opportunity to determine that the bids meet specifications and prepare a recommendation for action at next week’s meeting.
The bids included:
District 3 – Asphalt overlay on NS2700, EW790 and EW 780: B&S Construction Co. of, Stigler, $1,413,858.43; Haskell Lemon Construction of Oklahoma City, $1,429,795.
District 2 – Asphalt overlay on NS 2830: B&S Construction, $1,485,588.76, and Haskell Lemon, $1,433,160.
District 1 – Asphalt overlay on EW760:B&SConstruction,$734,591.30; Haskell Lemon, $731,250.
Jason Harris, director of Chisholm Trail Museum in Kingfisher, appeared seeking direction on two questions, 1. advice on necessary procedures to make repairs to the Seay Mansion, and 2. the availability of a pickup truck that can be available to the museum for transporting equipment and materials as needed.
Commissioners agreed to seek an opinion from the district attorney’s office on the first and to check for availability of a pickup truck on the second.
Commissioners approved changes in requesting and receiving officials for two offices including naming Angie Meyer as the requisitioning officer for the county commissioners’ office. Meyer has been hired as the commissioners’ office secretary succeeding Connie Replogle who has retired.
They named Rose Sherwood as requisitioning officer for the health department succeeding Jennifer Springer and added Audrey Sanders as health department receiving officer, replacing Sherwood in that position.
Commissioners approved monthly appropriations and transfers for county offices for the month of April, disposing of surplus items for District 1 including five two-way radios, a shop heater, a water heater, an air conditioner, diesel pump, sprayer and two pickup trucks, extending an Emergency Transportation Contract for fiscal year 2019-2020 and bridge inspection contract with County Engineering District 8 at a cost of $1,548.
Pipeline road crossing permits were approved for the following:
• Mustang Gas Producers – six-inch poly gas line seven miles south and one mile east of Hennessey, District 2.
• Chisholm Oil and Gas Operating – Two 12-inch water lines, one located two miles south and 15 miles west of Hennessey in District 2 and the second starting 13 miles east and four miles north of the the U.S. 81/ Dover-Crescent Road intersection, starting in District 1 and extending into District 2.
•Complete Energy Services – two three-inch water lines located four miles south and four miles east of Dover. District 2; one three-inch water line located four miles north and three miles west of Loyal, District 3, and two three-inch water lines located in District 1, three miles north of Kingfisher.
• Enlink Midstream Services – eight-inch steel line in District 1 located two miles east and two miles south of Kingfisher.
• McDonald Land Services – Three-inch water line located five miles west and four miles north of Okarche, District 3.
• Devon Production – Two 12-inch water lines located one mile south and three miles east of Omega, District 3.
