County releases contractor
Kingfisher County commissioners released B&S Construction Co. from a contract for asphalt overlay work on two roads in District 3 at their meeting Monday.
District 3 Commissioner Heath Dobrovolny said the owner of the company had been killed in a traffic accident and the owner’s father was closing out the company and requested the release from a contract for asphalt paving on NS 2700 and EW 790 and EW780 roads in District 3.
Commissioner Ray Alan Shimanek, District 2, chairman, and District 1 Commissioner Jeff Moss joined Dobrovolny in approving releasing the company from the contract.
Commissioners also approved the following actions during the meeting:
• annual publication of salaries;
• Court Clerk Lisa Markus’ records management and preservation monthly report;
• road crossing permit for Petro Land Services South for a four-inch line six miles south and two miles east of Hennessey, District 2;
• road crossing permit for Encana for three-inch water line four miles north and three miles west of Okarche, District 3;
• public service access drive for Targa NGL Pipeline Co. located nine miles west of U.S. 81 on EW CR 840, District 3;
• public service access drive for Targa NGL Pipeline Co. at a location nine miles west of U.S. 81 on EW CR 840 Road and then .41 mile south on NS CR 2750 on east side, District 3.
• declared as surplus two mowers for District 2.
• declared two tractors as surplus for District 3 to be used as trade-ins, and,
• ODOT federal emergency relief project damage statement from last year’s flooding.
Also present for the meeting were County Engineer Nik Smith, Pipeline Inspector Cody Murray, County Clerk Jeannie Boevers as minute clerk, Sheriff Dennis Banther and Brooks Pollard, representing Targa Pipeline Co.
