County tax collections
According to the OMMA website, three medical marijuana dispensaries are registered in Kingfisher County – August Pharms and Health Express no. 2-T LLC, both listed in Kingfi sher, and Country Dr. Dispensary Inc., listed in Dover.
Dispensary addresses are no longer listed on the OMMA website, but none so far is located within city limits and so are not required to collect municipal sales taxes.
The county is the lowest in the area in terms of marijuana-based tax collections, according to data collected by Oklahoma Watch.
Only $112 in tax revenue had been collected here from July 1-Sept. 30, which amounts to less than a penny per capita.
By contrast, Blaine County, also with three registered dispensaries, had generated $60,372 in revenue in that same time period, or $6.37 per capita.
The highest revenue per capita generated in the region was Garfi eld County, with 16 dispensaries and $644,013 in revenue, or $10.57 per capita.
The highest total revenue among adjacent counties was $755,973 from 42 dispensaries in Canadian County, or $5.23 per capita.
Logan County, also with 16 dispensaries, generated $130,902 in revenue or $2.77 per capita.
