County wraps up RWD improvement project
Kingfisher County commissioners completed details of a Rural Water District 3 improvement project at their weekly meeting Monday.
The $80,410 project completion involving a REAP grant required transfer of funds and a NODA affidavit of completion.
Commissioners also heard a COVID-19 update from City-County Emergency Management Di rector Steve Loftis, who reported 44 active cases in the county and approved an emergency management performance grant for the fourth quarter of Fiscal Year 2020 and a resolution authorizing removal of a 2002 Mack truck from the District 2 equipment list.
Commissioner Ray Alan Shimanek said the truck was totaled when it was hit by a train. No one was injured.
Commissioners tabled action on a contract for medical staffing and administration for the county jail as required papers have not been received from the company expected to provide the service, TurnKey.
All commissioners were present: Shimanek, chairman; District 3 Commissioner Heath Dobrovolny, vice-chairman, and District 1 Commissioner Jeff Moss, along with County Clerk Jeannie Boevers, as minute clerk; County Engineer Nik Smith, County Pipeline Inspector Cody Murray and Loftis.
