Crash west of Kingfisher injures 2

By

Two people were injured, one of them seriously, when their vehicles collided Saturday in Kingfisher County on State Highway 33.

Virginia J. Lowrey, 87, of Woodward was flown from the scene of the accident by medical helicopter to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City, according to a report from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

She was listed in critical, but stable condition with injuries to her arms, legs and trunk.

Also injured was Dale W. Glazier, 51, of Omega. He was taken by private vehicle to Mercy Hospital Kingfisher, treated for undisclosed injuries, and released.

According to the OHP report, Lowrey was driving a 2012 Toyota west while Glazier was eastbound in a 2012 Dodge about 12.2 miles west of Kingfisher.

The report said Lowrey’s vehicle went left of center for an unknown reason before colliding with Glazier’s. Lowery’s condition prior to the accident was unknown, according to the report, and still under investigation.

Lowrey was wearing a seatbelt, but Glazier was not, the report stated. Lowrey was pinned inside her vehicle before being extricated by members of the Loyal and Omega fire departments.

They assisted Trooper Kevin Edsall at the scene as did Miller EMS.
