If you missed Hennessey’s first Barn Quilt Block Workshop you won’t want to miss out on the one this year, said the event’s chairman.

The workshop is Saturday, June 12, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Wellness Mercantile on Hennessey’s Main Street.

Lunch will be provided on-site courtesy of Hennessey Farm Bureau Insurance.

Kingfisher County Extension Educator Lindy Hoel will be the instructor.

Workshop cost is $30 and includes a 2x2 board, basic colors of paint and all supplies.

“You’ll decide on your design,” said Cathy Howard, workshop chairman of the event sponsored by the Hennessey United Association, a non-profit community service organization.

“You pick out the design you want to use and we will have several simple samples on hand that you can use for inspiration,” she said.

Advance registration is required.
