DEVON ENERGY AT ROTARY - Craig Jackson, senior operations superintendent for Devon Energy, left, and Tangi Smith, community relations professional, right, were the guest speakers at the Kingfisher Rotary Club last Tuesday. Both work out of Devon’s Weatherford field office. They talked on the progress of drilling efficiency regarding horizontal drilling in the STACK play of Kingfisher and Canadian counties and told of experimental wells that will be drilled in the future that will run horizontally for three miles. Smith told of area Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) grants that have been awarded to school districts throughout the area.
