Dinner is Wednesday night to announce plans for Hennessey’s Legacy Foundation

The Hennessey Legacy Foundation will host a dinner Wednesday, May 8 to announce the start of the foundation and the receipt of its first $10,000 donation.

The 6 p.m. barbecue dinner at Eat It Up Banquet Hall is open to all those interested in making the community better through short and long-term projects. RSVP to Brenna (580-234-3311).  

Representatives from Stride Bank of Enid and the Cherokee Strip Community Foundation will make presentations about organizing and donating to the Hennessey fund, and will sponsor the meal.

Co-chairs of the Legacy 501(c)(3) foundation are Scott Hajek and Stacy Cline, along with members Tammy Henderson and Wes Hardin.

All are also board members of the non-profit Hennessey United Association that started the foundation.

Other United board members are Dagan Hardin, president; Barb Walter, vice president; Cathy Howard, secretary; Teresa Oliver, Jack Quirk and Kaden Mitchell.
