Dover FFA has busy Spring schedule
Meats, livestock, agronomy, floriculture, and public speaking have been added to the list of events the Dover FFA members have recently competed in.
Beginning April 1, students traveled to Wagoner to compete in the Connors State College Interscholastics.
The meats judging team, consisting of Wesley But-ler, Alec Schilde, Damion Turner and Evelyn Chavez placed fourth.
The agronomy team of Emory Norton, Madi Moeller, Claire Barker and Pedro Valles also placed fourth.
Fatima Aboite competed in the floriculture CDE, while Trey Dhonde competed in livestock judging.
On April 6, students traveled to Tishimingo for the Murray State Interscholastics.
Butler was the high individual in the meats judging contest, while the agronomy team of Moeller, Barker and Pedro Valles placed fourth.
Also competing were Turner in meats judging, Aboite in floriculture and Dhonde, Luis Ruiz and Ashley Gamez in livestock judging.
Public speaker Gabby Cervantes made a showing at the Thomas-Fay-Custer speech contest on April 6 and was joined by teammate Camila Gamez in Lone Grove.
Cervantes placed first in the Plant Science Division in Lone Grove.
