DRIVER’S EDUCATION

By

Thirty-one students recently completed the 30 hours of classwork required for driver’s education training and are currently completing their six hours of driving instruction to complete requirements for their permit. Classroom instruction included visits from Rodney Schaefer of Johnsons of Kingfisher, top right, who spoke on car care and maintenance; Oklahoma Highway Patrol Troopers Trent Cagle and Jeff Jech, middle right, who spoke on highway driving; Kingfisher Police Officer Chod Trout, bottom right, who spoke to students about driving in cities and towns; and Stacy Kitchen, driver examiner for the northwest district, who spoke about licensing. Doug Jech and T.J. Harris instructed in both the classroom and during driving requirements. Cars for the class were provided by Johnsons of Kingfisher and Jacksons Auto Family. Pictured top left is Adam Perkey and Jax Johnson of John-sons with students, from left, Jud Birdwell and Xavier Ridenour.  Students (in the bottom left photo) Tavion Harjo, left, and Izaiah Black, right, are pictured with Casey Jackson.
