Early Tuesday storm brings 2 inches of rain
A thunderstorm poured 1.9 inches of rain on Kingfisher early Tuesday.
The moisture measured by Local Weather Observer Steve Loftis at the National Weather Service station in Kingfisher up to 7 a.m. Friday raised the rainfall total for April to 4.18 inches and the year-to-date total to 9.02 inches.
The thunderstorm appeared to primarily affect an area from North Central to Southwest Oklahoma.
Mesonet rainfall readings Friday morning included: Kingfisher 1.92, El Reno 2.37, Watonga 1.39, Weatherford 1.35, Ft. Cobb 2.82, Minco 1.48, Mangum 4.63. Hobart 5.71, Altus 3.00, Tipton 1.73, Erick 1.79, Marshall 0.99, Yukon 1.88 and Hollis 2.11inches
