Election Tuesday; voting started

By

Early voting is under way for the June 30 primary and special elections.

Registered voters could cast ballots from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday and Friday and from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Kingfisher County Courthouse.

The election concludes at regular polling places from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday.

Those voting in-person are urged to wear masks and maintain social distancing as much as possible, for their own protection as well as out of courtesy for other voters and precinct workers, most of whom are in vulnerable age groups.

Three Republican primary races and one Democrat race will appear on ballots for voters in those respective parties.

Additionally, all voters will decide a state question, Kingfisher voters will elect city officers and Okarche and Cimarron school district patrons will elect school board members, all nonpartisan races.
