Elks members pay a little extra to donate to county food bank

For the past several weeks, members of Kingfisher Elks Lodge have had the option for extra money added to their tabs in order to donate it to the Kingfisher County Food Bank. Lodge officers last Friday were able to make a donation of $1,245 to the food bank, which provides food assistance to several families in the county and has seen its demand pick up in recent months. Pictured in the front row are Kingfisher Elks Lodge Exalted Ruler Daniel Ruhl and Treasurer Brenda Keene presenting the check to Danica Kramer, director of the food bank. Standing behind Kramer is Lisa Szczepaniak, a food bank volunteer along with her husband Dennis (back left). Also representing Kingfisher Elks Lodge were, from left: Brenda Detamore, Esteemed Leading Knight; Tommy Endres, Lodge Manager; Gary Wilson, Trustee; Brien Detamore, Chaplain; and Roy Homier, Trustee.
