Mustang Fuel Corporation, in partnership with the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma, helped provide food to 60 families at Good Samaritan Ministries in Hennessey as part of the company’s annual Holiday Care and Share distributions.

Families received boxes of shelf stable food, a frozen ham, bags of produce and dinner rolls during distributions at Good Samaritan Ministries throughout the month of December.

Mustang Fuel employees volunteered their time to assist with the Dec. 9 distribution.

“The COVID-19 pandemic has made this a hard year for our neighbors across Oklahoma, making our annual Holiday Care and Share distributions even more crucial,” said Carey Joullian, president and CEO of Mustang Fuel Corporation. “It’s always been a priority to us to give back to the communities where our employees live and work.”

Since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Regional Food Bank and its network of partner agencies in central and western Oklahoma have seen a 30 percent increase in new clients.

“As we enter into the holiday season, distributions like this are so important to ensuring that Oklahomans have food on the table this holiday season,” said Stacy Dykstra, chief executive officer of the Regional Food Bank. “We are so grateful for Mustang Fuel and its employees for continuing their annual Holiday Care and Share distributions during these difficult times.”

In total, Mustang Fuel employees helped distribute food to 850 families in five communities in central and western Oklahoma during the month of December.
