Extension to host multiple classes on arthritis exercise
Kingfisher County Extension will host a class this week on strengthening joints through chair exercises.
The class is 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 19, at the Kingfisher County Extension Office.
Lindy Hoel, FCS Extension educator, will guide participants through the exercises derived from the Arthritis Foundation Exercise Program.
This class will be held for three weeks. Other dates are Sept. 26 and Oct. 3.
Participants will learn:
• Safe exercises to strengthen joints affected by arthritis;
• Simple cardio exercises to gain better balance;
• Soft stretches to gain flexibility in tight muscles.
The class is free and open to the public.
