Family baking is family bonding
Hands-on OSU Extension workshop scheduled Dec. 10
Family bonding over baking will be the theme of a Kingfisher County Extension class at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 10 at the extension office in the Kingfisher County Courthouse Annex.
Lindy Hoel, county extension educator, will lead participants in making a gingerbread roll while learning the different types of holiday baking.
“Making homemade desserts is an old fashioned concept that we can use to build family bonding,” Hoel said.
Participants will learn:
•The different types of holiday desserts.
•How to make a holiday dessert healthier.
•How to get your kids involved in the kitchen.
•How to make a cake roll.
A $5 registration fee will be charged for the workshop, which is open to the public.
Participants are asked to RSVP by calling the extension office by Dec. 9.
