FIRE HYDRANT GRAVEYARD
FIRE HYDRANT GRAVEYARD — The city of Kingfisher is in the process of replacing 19 of its aging fire hydrants, a project expected to be completed this week. Commissioners approved the updates at their September monthly meeting. The new fire hydrants will provide enhanced fire protection and ongoing replacements of 20-30 per year are a part of the city’s capital improvement plan, which it is seeking to fund through an extension of a one-third cent sales tax which expired this month, City Manager Dave Slezickey said.
