Former county ag teacher is charged
Former Kingfisher and Hennessey ag teacher and current Ripley Public School superintendent Kenneth Beams was charged in Tulsa County District Court with engaging in prostitution.
Beams, 64, was arrested Oct. 11 on the misdemeanor charge, which alleges that he solicited prostitution in the Tulsa metro area.
A former Ripley sixth grade teacher, Kacey Williamson, was among at least eight people facing felony charges of racketeering, pandering, using computers to violate state law and conspiracy in conjunction with an alleged prostitution ring.
According to court documents, Williamson identified Beams as a person “known to solicit” prostitution in the Tulsa area.
Beams was released on bond from the Tulsa County Jail last Saturday and is scheduled for a court appearance Nov. 1.
