Fuse lit for another fab KINGFISHER 4th
Homegrown crooner headlines free concert
Local singer-songwriter Emily Faith will perform in a free concert at 7:30 p.m. July 4 at Homier Field in Kingfisher Park, just before the fireworks.
The daughter of Chad and Shelley Sanders of Kingfisher, Emily made her first vocal debut on a local stage at age 5.
Since then, she’s performed across the state and nation in a variety of venues, singing her own songs and covering a wide spectrum of new favorites and old standards.
Her main influences are Carrie Underwood, Miranda Lambert and Chris Stapleton, yet she also has deep reverence for the greats such as Reba McIntyre, Dolly Parton and Loretta Lynn. In addition to her original music, Emily’s extensive repertoire includes classics from celebrated country artists such as Patsy Cline, Don Williams, Merle Haggard and many others.
While her sound has accents of pop, blues and rock and roll, it is unquestionably rooted in the country music of her upbringing.
Emily has performed in a number of high-profile venues such as House of Blues, SXSW, Six Flags, Loretta Lynn’s Ranch, Disneyland, Tootsie’s, Bluebird Café, NAMM and traveled a 50-city road trip with the Newsboys as part of their “God’s Not Dead” tour.
Emily has performed the national anthem for numerous events, including NASCAR races, professional bull riding events and several games with the Oklahoma City Thunder.
She’s a five-time recipient of the Oklahoma and North American Country Music Association’s Vocalist and Entertainer of the Year award.
Concert-goers are welcome to sit in the stands or bring their own lawn chairs or blankets and sit directly on the field.
