Geary woman killed in crash

A 31-year-old Geary woman was pronounced dead at the scene of a Jan. 6 traffi c accident on S.H. 270 just west of Chisholm Road east of Geary, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

Michelle A. Brockman of Geary was driving a 2008 Mini Cooper that was traveling east on S.H. 270 and went left of center for an unknown reason, according to the OHP report.

Brockman’s vehicle collided with a westbound 1998 Mack 600 truck driven by Efren Ramirez, 58, of Dover, which had attempted to move left to avoid striking the Mini Cooper, according to the report.

Both vehicles departed the roadway to the left after colliding and burst into fl ames.

Ramirez was transported by ambulance to OU Medical Center where he was treated and released for head and arm injuries.

Brockman was pinned inside her vehicle for approximately two hours, according to the report.

The condition of both drivers at the time of the crash remains under investigation.

The accident was investigated by OHP Trooper Eric Blades, assisted by troopers George Moser, Michael Wallace and Lyle Lubbers, the Canadian County Sheriff’s Office and the Geary and Greenfi eld fi re departments.
