Gilmour Elementary School announced winners of the Great Expectations Citizenship Award for January 2021 during Jacket Roundup on Jan. 29. Earning the honor were, from left: front row, kindergarten students Ellie Nance, Emilio Ramirez, Grace Pendergraft, Kevin Ortega and Xander Munoz; second row, first graders Alexis Countryman, Alejandro Gray, Madalynn Hutchins, Jasmine Lopez and Adam Williams; and back row, second graders Aron Rivera, Declan Matthews, Rylee Johnson, Daniel Coughlan, Emma Munoz, Ethan Schellenberg and Ryan Meyer. January’s Citizenship Award character trait focused on by students and teachers was “fairness.” Teachers were encouraged to choose students exemplifying this trait throughout the month.
