Gilmour sets aside three days for pre-k screening, enrollment
Extra precautions will be taken later this month when Gilmour Elementary School holds its annual pre-kindergarten enrollment and screenings.
The screenings and enrollment are scheduled June 15-17 at the school.
To be eligible for pre-k in 2020-21, children must be 4 years old on or before Sept. 1 and be able to toilet independently.
Once paperwork is completed for the potential student, a screening is necessary.
“Proper precautions will be followed and require additional time to complete this process. Please be patient with us,” said Gilmour Principal Clifford Benson.
“There will be a minimum number of individuals allowed in the building at a time and a waiting line will form outside the building.”
The school asks if the child, parent or anyone in their household is feeling sick, to contact the school and set another screening time.
Documents required for enrollment are:
• State certified birth certificate
• Current immunization record
• Proof of residency in Kingfisher Public School district [lease/mortgage papers, gas bill, electric bill, water bill (bills must be printed)]
• Social Security card or number
Dates and times for enrollment will be based on the first letter of the last names. For those times, see the advertisement on Page 10 of this edition.
