Her job is about much more than disseminating pandemic information, but Taylor Shelton, new health educator at the Kingfisher County Health Department, is also prepared for that discussion.

Shelton, whose job involves community engagement as well as school educational programs and workplace wellness, is an Amarillo, Texas, native and graduate of Southwestern Oklahoma State University.

Prior to her current position, Shelton spent two years as regional business coordinator for RedRock Behavioral Treatment Centers in Kingfisher, Watonga and Weatherford.

Her husband, Quinton Shelton, is a firefighter with the Watonga Fire Department.

Shelton said anyone with questions about coronavirus data, community spread and the latest in prevention protocols is welcome to contact her via email at taylor.shelton@ health.ok.gov.
