The much-awaited opening of Hennessey’s $2.1 million aquatic center is set for Monday, June 15.

Hours are noon to 6 p.m. Monday-Saturday and 1 to 6 p.m. Sunday.

Night swims will also be available from 7 to 9 p.m. each Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday.

Admission is $2 for ages 17 years and under; $3 for 18-64 and $1 for 65-up.

Season passes are single, $50; immediate family (up to four), $120 plus $15 for each additional family member.

Pool party rental is $150 for up to 50 people and $200 for 51-100.

Pool manager is HHS grad Jessica (Jessi) Schovanec and assistant manager is Jesse Heiland.

Lifeguards are Emily Root, Jake Schovanec, Stephanie Patocka, Dalton Vinson, Michelle Roman, Wade Vinson, Juliana Macy and Angel Rodriquez.

The 2020 opening was scheduled for Memorial Day (May 26), but was delayed due to late delivery of some supplies and late training of lifeguards caused by the COVID-19 virus.

Town Administrator Tiffany Tillman recently told the town board that the pool is limited to 302 swimmers.

Groundbreaking on the new facility was September 2019. That was almost a year after Hennessey voters approved a three-quarter cent sales tax by 75% to pay for the pool.
