Hennessey’s town board approved purchase of a new mower for the parks department during a special meeting Friday, June 26.

The Scag Tiger Cat 2 mower from McPhail’s Mower & Magneto of Crescent cost $7,470.

The board also hired another certified lifeguard, Noah Moery.

That makes the town’s 10th lifeguard hired and the 12th employee for its new aquatic center that opened June 15.

Board members at that meeting were Mayor Bert Gritz, Vice Mayor Clif Vogt and Richard Simunek.

Absent were Trustees Wes Hardin and Keith Meek.

Minutes clerk was Assistant Clerk Shelley Burch in the absence of Town Administrator Tiffany Tillman.
