Hennessey calls special town meeting
Hennessey town trustees are scheduled to meet at 8:30 a.m. Thursday to accept the resignation of Police Chief Hank Weber, among other matters.
Weber submitted a letter of resignation citing the need to find a higher-salaried position elsewhere, although he expressed appreciation for his 11 years as chief and said he understood the town’s economic constraints that made it impossible for him to earn more in his current position.
Appointment of an interim chief is another item on the agenda, as well as approving a CARES Act reimbursement request and repairing or replacing a reverse osmosis motor at the water plant.
