Hennessey, Cashion set July 4 events
Hennessey’s Lions Club will be joined by other groups Thursday, July 4, at Bullfoot Park for games and fishing competitions for children and corn hole and horseshoe tournaments for the adults.
There will also be inflatables for the youngsters and music for everyone, say planners.
Food truck vendors and anyone who wants to have a booth is welcome, said Tim Riddle, a Lions Club organizer.
The event is usually held at the park on Mitchell Road, but moved to Bullfoot Park because Lions understood that work was to start on the new pool at the Mitchell Road site.

Cashion Boom Fest
If you don’t get enough fireworks, food and fun on Thursday, Cashion is the place to be Friday night.
The inaugural Cashion Boom Fest will begin at 6 p.m. on the school campus.
For children, the evening will include inflatables, face tattoos, glow bracelets, corn-hole and the Cashion Fire Department will have one of its trucks on site.
There will also be food trucks and the Matt Blagg Band will be providing live music throughout the evening. If weather allows, paramotor pilots will be demonstrating as well.
Then, at dark, a fireworks show will cap off the night.
